"I just said that" - "Sure its a nice thought believing when you die you go to a nice place" No you didn't. Its a lot more than just believing there is some huge kingdom waiting for you. God did not die for our sins, jesus, his son did. Perhaps in some religions simply following the rules might supposedly get you into heaven, but the more main and wide spread religion is that you must have faith in god, obey his rules, and so on. The same can be said about why people
don't believe in god.

It all depends on the actions you make in life. You can be a stubborn asshole and believe in equality all you want, but if you're sinning and not believeing in god, and the man next to you is doing the exact opposite, I consider him better than you. If you are both on the right path, doing good deeds, being a generally nice person, then even though you don't believe in god, you are equal, but his beliefs in the afterlife will be different. You are very dim-witted. Religion gives you extra incentive to succeed. Weak you say? Then apparently millions of weak people are walking this planet. What the hell are you going to do about it?
