| The Worst OS? Just like asking about "the Best OS", It would all depend on who is using it. (I am leaving Mac's out of this, because I have never used one) First, the geeks/power users Power users generally dislike vista, because you have to argue with it all the time for control of your machine. (I would know, even after disabling UAC, i still run into a lot of confilcts with Vista). Also, power users would probably be more inclined to linux distros, aka, Arch linux and Slackware. Also, I know very few serious power user who likes Ubuntu, on the basis that it is developed to be just like Windows. The casual user: However, for the casual user, Vista and Ubuntu are much more favorable. This is BECAUSE they get "in the way", it doesn't allow them to mess up their computer too easily, while also allowing relative ease of use to do many common tasks. For example, gaming, word processing, etc. To these users, the worst OS would be something like Arch linux or Slackware because despite the the many advantages, they require more work to use and time to learn. ... But thats just my take on the matter. |

| I hear a lot of bad things about Vista. But since I've not tried it, I'm going to say that Windows 98 is the most horrible operating system (even though it was probably the best back in the day).
