well SP2 is coming out before the end of the year (at least it was supposed to). so if you have the cd for vista then thats great or else you'll have to buy one or use a pirated one. so there is no point for people to downgrade to xp since SP2 should be here in a few days.

SP2? There is either SP1 for Vista or SP3 for XP. I assume you mean SP1 for vista.

ooops.. little typo. i meant SP1 for Vista. yeah microsoft was supposed to release SP3 for XP, but i'm not sure when. main priority for them is vista right now. what OS are you on?

the so called official SP1 for vista, actually is just collection of bunch of exploit updates patch, lol
in fact, they already have SP3 for Vista. but they din make it official number only, coz they afriad ppl lost trust on thier products

hmm thats a nice piece of information. do you think windows 7 (formerly vienna) is just vista with added stuff. just like they did with windows me and xp? i think that is happening again. microsoft's little marketing trick.

if i were microsoft i probably would do that
you cant really complain because they are giving you a service and if u dun want it go to apple or get linux

well microsoft actually did that before. they made xp and then the took some stuff out of xp and released it as windows me. and a year later they released xp. meaning double profits. people bought the same thing twice and they didn't have to spend money developing two different OS.
