When you're in a rush just try this and it will turn off your computer within 5-10 seconds.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del (Windows Task Manager)

2. Click Shutdown (at the top next to 'Help')

3. Then HOLD the 'Ctrl' key and Select 'Turn Off'.

It doesn't have any effects on your computer. I didn't get what you meant by the reset effect though.

Wouldn't that be risky to the person doing the trick's computer (If you just cut it power source out then the computer has a likely chance of breaking that is what the shutdown function is there for)?
